Meet the Author a.k.a Mumma Tisco
Ananya is a corporate lawyer and the mother of two wonderful children, her elder son and her younger daughter, who are the real-life inspiration behind Disco and Pisco.
Her daughter’s bright, mischievous, quick-thinking personality is unmistakably Pisco, while her son’s gentle, thoughtful, cricket-loving nature is pure Disco. Despite an extremely busy work schedule, Ananya has one golden rule: she puts her children to bed every night, no matter what. It was during those bedtime moments that she began making up stories for them — stories full of foxes, family, mischief, warmth and little adventures.
Out of all the stories she told, her children kept asking for more Pisco and Disco adventures. It was also the children who lovingly coined the term “the ISSCO universe” — and that is how the series truly began.
What started as nightly stories from a working mum to bring magic, love and togetherness to her children has now become a warm picture-book world for other families to step into.
